Learning new skills & a prize giveaway!!!!

Hats are not only a fashion accessory but each headpiece is an art form, individually created. Much love and time is taken to create a bespoke headpiece, whether it’s a hat or fascinator. There are always new styles, materials and techniques to learn. This is why I’m excited to have enrolled onto a new Millinery Course with London’s award winning milliner Katherine Elizabeth. To keep up with trends I believe its important to keep learning new skills. Keep posted to see All Dunn Ups new creations.

This is an image of the start of one of my creations. It all starts from a piece of sinamay and has then been hand blocked onto a hat block, wired around the edge and shaped. My next job is to bind the edge and trim. Trimming is always the exciting bit as you never know what the headpiece may end up like. It may be a simple piece or something extravagant that   will stand out from the crowd. I love the vibrant colour of this base. The inspiration of this shape and colour was from decorative Moroccan lamp. I also believe that we will be seeing a lot of this colour next year.

At All Dunn Up I have been busy embellishing lots of winter fedora, with various pheasant and peacock feathers. These are really popular hats for the autumn/winter season, not only do they keep you warm but they are the perfect fashion accessory for all you fashionistas. They can be worn anywhere, a trip to the shops, a day at the races or even countryside walks.

At the moment I have a giveaway on my Facebook page to win one of my fedora. So if you haven’t already entered, please head over to my facebook page for a chance to win. www.facebook.com/alldunnup2015 Winner will be announced on 1st December 2018.
